"RIZ is the truth. When I first heard his music, I got the same chills I got when I first heard 50 Cent" - Sha Money XL, Money Management

Although RIZ's latest single served as inspiration to 50's crew anthem toting the same title, the similarities stop there. This self proclaimed "Young, Fly and Flashy" artist repping Harlem, captures sounds and flavors from the East Coast, West Coast, Mid West and even his birth place Charleston, South Carolina. This is evident on tracks penned such as "Brand New Cadillac."

It's that vision that has attracted the attention of some of the most creative up coming forces in the Hip-Hop industry. From recording tracks such as "Put Em Up" with LA's super-producer JR Rotem, (who has also lent his touch to hit records for Rick Ross, Sean Kingston, Rihanna, and Britney Spears), to "Watch What You Say" with the Miami based The Runners (R.Kelly, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne), to starring in his first full length video directed by Rik Cordero (who has also directed for Snoop Dogg, Beanie Siegel, Jay Z, Nas), RIZ continues to push the envelope.

Backed by a solid management team headed by Sha Money XL of Money Management Group, Will "DaBoss" of Media Management and David "Da Jeweler" of Diamond District Entertainment, RIZ has released two critically acclaimed mixtapes, hosted by heavy hitters in the game, DJ Envy and DJ Whoo Kid, respectively. He has collaborated with artists such as Lloyd Banks (GUnit/ Interscope), Trey Songz (Atlantic), Jim Jones (Sony WMG), Maino (Atlantic), and many more. He is currently recording his first full length studio album to be released later this year independently, all the while continuing to build his online fan base which is evident by the 80,000+ views on You Tube of his "Red Light Green Light" video and over 100,000 hits on various websites, including his My Space page.

RIZ has also been featured on several Hip-Hop documentaries, Smack DVD, Real Talk DVD, Blow Magazine & DVD amongst others. But his slow and steady pace to the top has not always been positive.

After the passing of his mentor and biggest fan, NY's Power 105.1 DJ Carl Blaze, he had to dig deep to find inspiration again. RIZ lets us in some of the raw emotions on tracks such as "Trials and Tribulations"- Position of Power hosted by DJ Whoo Kid.

RIZ has the creativity, inspiration, knowledge and versatility to bring back to Harlem what only Harlem can offer. A star.
