@WorldWalkerIn Loretta wanted to join the Cagney and Lacey TV series but she couldn't get out of her MASH contract.
Meg was dropped as the CBS executives didn't feel they was enough contrast between Meg Foster and Tyne Daly.
Sharon Gless was the best though,I met her in LOndon in Nov 11,great lady,very friendly.

Sharon was the 3rd Chris Cagney,Loretta Swit made the pilot,then went back to MASH,Meg Foster was Cagney for 5 episodes but then dropped as they felt Foster and Daly were too alike.Sharon Gless was great as Cagney,would still like to se the Meg Foster episodes on DVD though.
