There is a video of James singing this in Boston back last century... the camera pans across the audience while he is singing the chorus (with his wonderful backing singers Arnold McCuller especially) and there is not a dry eye in the house.

What a beautiful gift to be able to write and sing songs that touch our humanity so deeply.
