  • sorry , dont believe 1000 hp . mine has 970 hp and runs 8.50 at 160 mph !! if this has 1000 or 1200 hp , I would go to a different dyno . someone is pulling someones leg here . oh yes , mine is street legal . 8.50 was on dot tires through the mufflers too !

  • @pappypoopmonster

  • @the934x4 Not true, The bad driver is still spinning the tires while the good driver crosses the line ;)

  • @ruthlessone3k I can argue with that one, put a bad driver in a 1500 hp car with an auto tranny, and put a good driver in a 400hp car with a manual, and the guy with 1500 hp will still smoke em.

  • @ruthlessone3k you just aint shittin !!

  • @pappypoopmonster financially exhausting to say the least. Building a fast car is only the largest chunk of the money involved in racing. So many other things go into it and all of them cost. Trial and error can get VERY expensive but its part of learning.

  • @ruthlessone3k Yea , thats for sure , mine was 3320 lb. , 431 cu. in . small block , 14 degree brodies , cfe sheetmetal intake , etc , with g force 5 speed . , mcleod sinterd iron single disk . car ran great . running a 69 based camaro pro mod , mccamis chassis this past year . 6.05 , 221 so far . its a learning process for sure . fun , but a bit financially exhausting .

  • @pappypoopmonster Of course, the driver makes a huge difference. I was speaking only to the technical issues. Without a good driver All the horsepower in the world is useless.

  • @ruthlessone3k do you mean also the driver ?

  • @pappypoopmonster For someone that supposedly has a 970hp 8.5sec car. you should know that hp does not translate directly into 1/4 mile times. it doesn't account for things such as track conditions, elevation, traction issues, weight of the car, gearing, parasitic loss(could be hp at the crank), humidity, temp, suspension setup. All these thing and more add up to have a major effect on a car
