Today the SDIV put both of there new genset locomotives on display at the Santa Fe Depot in SD . I got there a liitle early to watch a couple of trains and then went to the display where a press confrence was held and then we( about 20 invited guests) took a tour of both locomotives and then we got a short cab ride( which was only alowed to be filmed by news press) to the staduim and back. Then the two brand new locomotives got into the clear to let a SDNR Coaster train to arrive from MTBD yard. Then the units went back to MTDB yard. It was a great day! Jared(Jaanfo) was also present for a while. please, rate comment, and subscribe! Later!

  • Great catch of the SDIY Gensets!

  • Hey I was wondering what is up with the SDIY line that runs late at night after the trolley service ends. I live near the lemon grove station and hear it late at night passing the level crossing. Does anyone know any information about it? I've looked around the Internet and there isn't much info on it.

  • @AMTK510 His sound quality on his camera has nothing to do with how crappy the cabcar horns are.

  • @AMTK510 I do admit that my camera at the moment sucks but as far as the SDNR cab car the horn did sound like shit. Its a new enginner. he told me that he is still getting used to quilling the horn using the pullcords

  • It's obviously his sound quality. It seems rather poor.

  • The reason they don't sound that good is because the engineer is quilling the horn. Since the cabcars have a pull string that activates the horn, they have the ability to do that. All seven locomotives have push buttons which makes it harder to quill them.

  • 2304 has the worst K5LA of all 2303 has the best.

  • Nice video Nando! Looks cool! Gosh, Coaster has to have some of the worst K5LA's. The loco's are ok but a lot of the cabcars are all weezy and fouled. Metrolink's K5's are better. Good video again, nevertheless.

  • Glad to see you made it down there man. Cool vid.
