  • Holy mackerel that thing doesn't look like it could move a fly without snapping a knuckle. But sure is neat to see it not-dead! LOL! Is it going to be restored?

  • yes. thats actually the best its looked for a while. that has most of the paint off it. most of the work now is just cosmetic.

  • Wait for it... Wait for it... KAA FREAKING BOOM! :P hahaha

  • At least the original Detroit two-stroke came through the fire that took out the Knox & Kane steamers with little damage; she looks as though she'll be good for a test run with a 400-ton dead load, once the electrical rigging is rebuilt.

  • Folks, a GP isn't like an F or an E unit. Their structure doesn't rely on the carbody for rigidity - their frames have a much longer functional lifespan. If the engine and trac motors run, throw some paint on it! GPs and SDs will run forever!

  • Does it have the single pane windshield?

  • IT BREATHES FIRE! ITS A DRAGON TRAIN!

  • @1602Productions thanx live again 39 live!!!!

  • @chancer85 Enginehouse fire when it was owned by the Knox and Kane Railroad.

  • what happened to it? why is it like that?

  • @ble643 I was just about to say that, it has been a year, so I'd be interested in seeing an update from him.

  • Nothing like starting and old motor and getting the "stacking" falling down all over you. I have seen a few engineers put on a rain coat for starting one because of all he crud flying up and out ALL over you. Nice to see it was not frozen up and someone is going to restore that cool motor.
