Is it possible to set the polyphony to 1 so that the samples cut each other off?

okay i figured the first part out now it won't let me drag the chopped sample into the piano?

@robbiewalch Make sure you are using a "sound effect" synth track.

@michaelromani how do you get the track to be purple? when i import a song it shows up orange and wont let me clip samples from it

@Spydr14 No actually go to pitch pitch it up faster. Pitch it down slower.

How exactly did you make the samples faster than they were originally? I have Garageband 08 so it might be a little different since you have 09.
