I live in California City & the city leaders won't even approve for a decent grocery store here, what makes you think that YOU can change their minds & allow for legal pot growth? i like the concept. i grew up there and i really wish there was a way to fix the town =/

the houses are so cheap because NOBODY wants to live out in the desert

there's nothing there. no jobs, no shops, no business, the school is a couple of years away from getting turned over to the state for such LOW scores

like i said, i REALLY wish there was a way to turn it into a good place to live, i just never see that happening =[

The city has been working very hard and pouring tons of money for years to bring lide back to downtown oakland. The pot clubs aren't doing any more work than the bars. Getting a job is the problem. If CalCity would change their city laws to support the medical MJ industy, the city would have a lot of tax revenue. Hemp would be a great crop as long as it doesn't suck up too much water.

By the way, use zillow.com to look at prices for homes in Cal city.
