8047 Amaravathi Express from Vasco to Howrah hauled by Gooty Alco WDM-3a 14013 and banked by twin Gooty Alco WDM-3a 14714 & 14656 at Dudhsagar Falls Station on the Vasco-Londa Braganza Ghat Section with 1 in 37 (2.7%)gradient.

  • I like this video no end. Are the bankers sanding as they climb?

  • @JuanManuelGrijalvo , they bankers do sand if there is a wheel slip. In the WDG-3A class locos there is no automatic sanding. A buzzer sounds if there is a wheel slip and the assistant loco pilot or the loco pilot can then release the sand by pressing the sander button.
