Today I got a 8 kg, 110 cm long pike!

Information: Pike is a predator and eats all other delicate fishes, specially if its in a small river (like the place where I catched it). There is almost no salmon left in that river because of the pikes. So its really not a bad idea to kill a monster like that!

Hur fan kan man vara så dum att man tar upp en gädda på 8kg? Man får ju ändå inte ut nå mat från dom iaf.

Tackar vet jag folk som kan fisa ordentligt med " catch & release " metoden.

Nice pikee! never caught one like that, too bad you killed it.. but people told me that eating pike is very difficult because he has an difficult skeleton..?

If you read my last comment above you´ll see the reason why I killed it. People dont eat pike because of the taste. It has a very special taste and its hard to cook it in a way that makes it delicious. But thaistyle cooking its actually a pretty good way to cook it because the thaichilli takes away the strong pike-taste.

There's a reward for all pikes over 7.5 kg in the region where I live. And according to the rules of this fishingcompetiton I am a bronze medalist! :-)

I am so jealous. How cool to catch such a lovely fish and then to have someone who looks like a thai chef prepare it. Did he get all the bones out? I bet it was delicious.

nice one i guess you are from sweden i got one this weekend a small one 9hg 0.9kg and had one on the hook yester day but lost it so dont know how big only know he pulled out line very fast on the same breaks
