i called the hot line once. they said here are some councilors in your area..they did not even ask me how i was thinking of killing myself. i called the local people and then found out that without cash upfront i could not be seen. so no help for me. i now work maybe 3 days a month because i am so depressed over my job. i am practically starving to death. and now really can't afford help cause to broke from depression to get it. there is no help without big money.

Fighting depression is so hard. This video infuriates me. Why is so much emphasis placed on "choosing" to "recover"? It makes me rage. What about the people who've voluntary hospitalized themselves, seen therapists, done treatment, taken pills, and still feel like this? The problem is it is a CHRONIC ILLNESS for some people who truly have to deal with it probably throughout their life. I want to hear about them and how they cope and manage to survive with the depression, because that is how I am

@800273TALK Shut up. Trying to convince people who feel sad enough to kill themselves is not done by false promises of "so much to live for". People who kill themselves typically have issues surrounding themselves such as the monotony of every day life and depression based on individual factors. You want to help them? Make society a less dull and boring place, stop treating people like shit and not caring at all up until the point where they're about to kill themselves like most humans do.

I cry every night and struggle with suicidal thoughts one reason I don't go through with it is because of my daughter and my pets whom are very old. This is not a joke not a cry for help. I really feel a loss everyday overwhelming loneliness feeling an abject failure as a person. God knows I want help but fear judgement. I am 48 forgotten, broke and sick I made my bed now I have to lay in it by myself Love when able, cry as needed commit to someone great asap. I waited too long don't be me.
