This is my first video clip, of me performing a pattern interrupt at the end of KC Johnson's Instant/Rapid Inductions course in January 2009. I'm the guy with long hair and the person being hypnotized is Certified Hypnotist and Stage Hypnotist Pete Hummon. This is a demonstration ONLY. In the beginning of this induction, I gained compliance then demandedsimple information. This was done on a soft mat, and although he fell like a ton of bricks, I did ensure his safety in time.
If you are planning to do a wallet induction after watching this video, I urge you to MAKE SURE that the volunteer has successfully and safely put his/her wallet COMPLETELY into the pocket before saying "Sleep." This puts the volunteer at ease, knowing that their entire life is safely in their pocket so they can fully relax. :-) Enjoy!

  • so you literally SCARE them into hypnosis? haha never heard of that

  • Daven,

The whole purpose is to catch them off gaurd, when they don't expect to be hypnotized. This is called a Shock Induction.

  • Yes I realize this, but I've never found it necessary to be so harsh with the sleep command and also the startling hand movements. If anything, I could only see people being so scared out of their pants that they are unable to go into hypnosis. just a thought!

  • Daven,

You have a good point, and this is why I love hypnosis. As long as you believe what you do will make it more effective, it will be! Plus the more commanding, the better!

  • is it possibly to use this sort off induction on teenager about 15/16 the same age as myself..?

  • Ryansanimations, Yes! I have not done this induction to anyone under 18, but if you build expectation and elicit confusion, you'll do fine. I've found that if you build the expectation for them while simultaneously eliciting confusion, the better it works. Also please note that confidence and conviction are two key points to remember when doing this type of induction.
