i DO appreciate him, and his music...

but i hate how he talks like he's mr. big-shot in Incubus, despite that he is the newest and least respected member...

don't get me wrong, hes an awesome guy, but he makes it out to be like he needs to escape from something that hes only been a part of for four years...

that's a stretch... not once does he say a single thing about "escaping" from anything. He's essentially a workaholic and when Incubus takes a break- he can't sit still.

And as far as being Mr. "big shot"- not so much either. He's as humble and thankful as can be. And have you ever heard Incubus play a Ben Kenney song in concert? or vice versa?

@cory927 yea dude...he's been with them since 2003...thats more than 4 years. and incubus specifically chose him because they knew that he was good enough. alex katunich left..they needed a replacement.

His been jamming with Mike way longer then he has been with Incubus, It was around 03 Kenney joined Incubus. Thats 7 years, the only person that considers him the "newest member" is you.

I actually got a chance to sit down with Ben and talk face to face.

If you think he's very easy going, driven, intelligent, talented and wise person...pat yourself on the back because you're completely right.

He's also very tall, just throwing that in there.

I agree with cossatte. Music's just Ben Kenney's life. Incubus takes a break, and they all went of to do their own thing. He doesn't want an escape. If anything, he wants to keep going. Really, he's just explaining the differences between Incubus shows and his own. He enjoys it because he gets the experience of playing different kinds of shows.

Don't take this part personally, but I just wanna say: I think people need to drop the whole Ben vs. Dirk thing. It's really not gonna change anything

I have met Ben Kenney, he's an AWESOME guy, but my opinion about his side project is that it's awesome music, but i think the pressure of Incubus gets to hims a LITTLE too fast.
