  • hey do you have the playbill podcast of spring awakening ?

  • favorite picture= 1:51

  • this is a beautiful song, love it

  • It was either changed before or after. The songs itself have been re-written many times. You'll notice that the original off-Broadway songs are different than the current ones, and sometimes aren't even the same ones (ex, There Once Was a Pirate was switched with The Guilty Ones when it hit Broadway)

  • They recorded the cast recording when the show was still off-Broadway, and the lyrics were different. There was this whole fisherman/pirate/ship theme with some of the songs. They changed it. Look up "There Once Was a Pirate" from the off-Broadway version. "The Guilty Ones" replaces it.

  • The OBCR was recorded between the show closing off-Broadway and opening on Broadway. Not long after it must've been recorded, they made some revisions to the show, and quite a few lyrics and arrangements, including several of the Touch Me solos and a lot of Song of Purple Summer, were changed. In reality the lyrics, etc. that people used to the album think of as "new" have been around since late 2006. The album lyrics were only around for a few months in summer of 2006 for off-Broadway.

  • why r the lyrics different at otto's solo on the cast album? its like "when i got there, no more shadows anymore only men with goldens fins the rhythm in them, rockin with them to shore" but its diff in the show?

  • lea michelle is still the best =]

  • Uh, random picture of Laura Bell Bundy! Love it.

  • I love this arrangement but prefer the original singers more.
