crosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\ Go down down the NameSpace list and located the value which display Network Magic Folder, Delete this folder and it will be gone.

Try this:
Go into the Pure Networks Network Magic dialogue box (searched for Network Magic in the search box under the Start menu). Then, under Tools-Options, check the "Hide Network Magic Folders Desktop Icon".

I had the same problem. Goto control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall network magic. Good to go.

Click on the "Tools" menu and choose "Options..." menu to remove the "My Shared Folders" icon from the desktop.

that was the first thing I tried ,second I first tried to delete it directly,but then I tried that .
any way fixed it minizt was right,I didnt properly restarted my pc i closed explorer.exe form task manager and the thing didnt disappear but the next time I started the thing it was gone
i have the same problem but i have a my computer folder and it wornt deleat!!!!!

If your using XP you should be able to manually remove any desktop icon by going into control panel - Display - Desktop - Customize Desktop - Clean Desktop Now - then tick the box for the icon you want removed.
