I am canadian from egyptian origin , I have been to egypt many times and I have also seen egyptians who love to steel from tourists by any means possible .
I have never had a problem with the police , infact there were nice to me and I spoke arabic with them . The police has an obligation to protect people with thieves and murderers. Egyptian people must learn to act and live in a civilised manner .
