@typsypyg I love this mix because Averre's guitar is so isolated.

The bass drops out no where to be found and this STILL kicks ass!

@RubHerSoul1 Yep, must be the results of how it was mixed in the TV studio for broadcast. Maybe both Fieger guitar and the bass had a bit too much stage volume going on, with the engineer bringing them down in the mix. Or just an engineer who did a poor mix that particular day. Averre used to use a pretty clean tone, getting most of his overdrive from the pickups of the Paul overdriving the preamp of his amp, not a lot of what would be called distortion these days, but fine for power pop.

AWESOME live version!

I was a kid back then and dismissed this band as a one hit wonder bubble gum pop glam thing. But this was a really good band and the singer and lead guitar player were both very talented, and drums and bass completely pro. I can tell the lead guitar player was heavily influenced by Chuck Berry.

I want the whole concert too!
and Bruce Gary was the greatest drummer in rock history, to me anyhow.

This is what happens when you put three dynamic musicians around a talented singer/songwriter. Thanks for this awesome vid. I only wish I had access to the whole concert. RIP Doug and Bruce.
singer looks like Leo Messi...
