Mad Dog McCree - Nice Shootin', Try Another One! - (Part 1)

I remember a LONG time ago I first played this in arcades, and like most people at that point, I thought full motion video was "the way of the future". Thankfully it wasn't, or we'd probably still be playing games like this.

Now don't get me wrong: this is a really nostalgic game for me, but mainly because it's one of those "so bad it's good" games, as well as it being a perfect representation of this short period of time where FMV's were the #1 gimmick in gaming.

I recently downloaded a boatload of abandonware DOS games, some are great games, some are mediocre, and some of them are downright terrible, so i'll be doing commentary for those also.

This game will not die. They've released it (with the sequels) for the Wii.

I used to work in an arcade that had the game. Only ONCE did I ever see someone actually play all the way through to the ending. I do remember when you get to the final hide-out, you have to shoot a cow skull atop the chimney. That knocks it and a large bird nest in, blocking it to fill the hide-out with smoke.

Do you have a Kinect? The Gunstringer has some DLC that's pretty similar to this game.

this was the first video games i ever got that was mine.........good memories of playing the game... loved it when i was 3.
