Respect for all point of view....
Anyway, JulioC4p031r4 is mestre Pequeno himself....
I wouldn't tell a master to 'read up about' anything...I'd rather open up my mind and try to understand what he's tring to explain.
The path of capoeira began hundreds years ago, and everybody knows that it's never been
the same.
If clapping during Iuna game will demonstrate to be good, it will survive and become part of the whole.....
Otherwise it will disappear in a few years.....
Natural selection :-)

What's with the clapping? There's not supposed to be clapping in iuna.

This is our way to play Iuna, bro. The claps are part of our game, no big deal. When Mestre Bimba was leading a roda there was only one berimbau and two tambourines. In present days the rodas have three berimbaus, one tambourine and one drum, and there are no complains. Iuna is the game of teachers and masters, and when the students clapping they are being part of this energy. Capoeira is not a religion, so forget the dogmas, keep your mind open.
