9th & Hennepin definitely isn't as scary today as it apparently was then! I'm guessing it had to do with the fact that Block E (6th/7th & Hennepin) used to be mostly "adult" businesses (they must not have been very classy), and now Block E has regular restaurants, businesses, etc. I'm guessing that whole area along Hennepin probably changed along with it. Still a lot of drugs around block E, though. In any case... Tom Waits is quite the poet.

anyone see down by law??

This is the scariest thing I've seen all day...I really haven't been listening to enough Tom Waits.
-
BIG TIME really should be released on DVD. Does anyone know if it has been?
-
Tom should make his own movie, write a book, or something. He's an amazing writer.

Long live the waits.

@TheSidewalkCipher 9th and Hennepin is a real intersection in Minneapolis. I visited Minneapolis in the mid 1990s, and out of curiosity decided to check out the area. It was largely cleaned up by then. Later on, I was told by a friend who's a Minnesota native that it used to be the red light district.
"all the donuts around here have names that sound like prostitues." I LOVE IT!!!
