In arguably the most spectacular exit of the entire series, Marie Winter blackmails The Freak into arranging for a helicopter to drop by and pick her up during afternoon exercise. Naturally the ever-vigilant staff fail to raise the alarm at the sight of such a craft circling the sky above the grounds of Wentworth when all the inmates are at large - indeed, Joycie can't resist a little wave - enabling Marie - looking rather slimmer in the hips and greyer in the wig than usual - to scale the fence, and then demonstrate her outstanding upper-body strength as she clings to the ascending aircraft so rigidly it's almost as if she's stuffed...

  • The way Marie punches that chick. Love it!

  • how funny would it of been if she fell from the helicopter fail lol!!

  • lol nice dummy hanging from the helicopter. Much more obvious if you saw it on TV where the picture is better.

  • Marie was top dog apparently way before Bea came into Wentworth and then got transferred to Barnhurst. that all came out somehow...don't remember now.

i have missed a lot now.

  • Lovely how the beloved Joycie gives a friendly little wave to bid Marie a fond adieu! She's a card, she is.

  • Funny how the prison is just the channel 10 studios!

  • that's funnier than Batman & his shark!

  • ROTFL Marie is mad.

  • Bea was the Top Dog but Marie arrived when Bea was in the prison hospital with kidney disease. When Bea went to the big hospital for a kidney transplant, Marie finagled her way into the Top Dog position. Bea had been top dog for about 240 episodes up to that point.

  • classic i remember that but not the original air time, im sure when it was on pay tv.
