This is my first ever AMV, and it is still my personal favorite.
Worlds Apart is the story of a girl named Reki, who "suffered a most unfortunate fate, and found herself without those closest to her with whom she could share her sorrow. Believing herself to be worthless, she despaired of her life and chose to become a stone that could not feel pain or suffering. Her name, Reki, comes from the word "gareki"--which means small stone; but her true name is Rekishi, or "death by being run over".
Reki is trapped in the circle of sin from her very birth into the Haibane world. She has no memory of her past life, yet finds herself repeating the same mistakes over and over, held back from taking the day of flight because of her own pride. It is only through helping another Haibane, Rakka, to overcome her sinbound illness, that Reki learns what it means to trust another for one's salvation.

all i can say is i believe in christ and to me its not about what church or what denomination but its a relationship with our lord and savior...and its songs like this when u truely know christ man they make me ball like a baby an im not ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyone feel the same way????

We cannot understand why he would love us enogh to make such a sacrifice for us all we can do is accept him as our savior.

I see a lot of comments about the song and god but I think the anime used in the video needs some praise too. Haibane Renmei is the anime and it is the 2nd best anime I have ever seen(right next to Clannad) it has a unique setting and plot of it's own. The characters and the difficulties they face are so real and there is A LOT of symbolism if you look close enough. I also think it does an amazing job capturing both the good and bad times. I guarentee your time will be well spent watching it :)

I'm exactly the same way, and by the way this happens to be ,o, shall we say, one of my favorite songs of all time and um, youtube, we have a problem. You're gonna have to fix the Like and Replay button,yea, and ,o, the dislike button, it's not supposed to be there. O, and WHADDYA KNOW? 0 DISLIKES, anymore reasons to get rid of the dislike button? Anyone?

Sure, I'm not sure whether it made it into the video info (I should have!). The series is called "Haibane Renmei" (means "Charcoal Feather Federation".) It is a Japanese anime series of 13 episodes with a very touching and powerful story.
