She's a poet, her "talking songs" are her poetry coming through. If you paid any attention to House of Secrets, most of that was her poetry. Not everything has to be heavy screaming, her most powerful songs are poetic, and if you can't appreciate that, than you are NOT a true Otep fan or Shadow Soldier.

I got back into this album and really dug into it. I have no idea what the hell i was talking about before. I love her Spoken word songs. Not the really long ones like I Remember... Okay i like that one lol. But Yeah, Overall my favorite album musically is Smash The Control Machine, The best poetically/lyrically was definitely Sevas Tra
