A Story Waiting to Pierce You:
Mongolia, Tibet and the Destiny of the Western World
by Peter Kingsley
A STORY WAITING TO PIERCE YOU offers a breathtaking insight into our past and our future as human beings. For the first time in centuries it traces the ancient threads that connect Mongolia, Tibet and Native Americans to the very origins of western civilization — showing how these sacred ties have shaped our lives today.
This remarkable book tells, with haunting simplicity and precision, the true story of where our western culture really came from and where it is taking us now.
How many scholars does it take to change a light bulb: Ten. I to screw it in and nine to interpret it in the light previous scholarly research.

i dont know who this guy is payin for all these rave reviews on his books; i read "reality' and holllyyyy fuuckkkk did it take forever for this guy to get to his point. like 400 pages of bullshit. this guy is trying to teach enlightenment or the lost wisdom of the west, but he spends all his time talking about the people who covered up the wisdom than he does about the wisdom. you need to get to the point brah, all this beating around the bush is a pain in the ass.

erudite:At all events, if it involved any secret information in regard to old Roger Chillingworth, it was in a tongue unknown to the erudite clergyman

@gurugeorge and he was right hes not a scholar he has said that himself he talks about other tradition other than the "scholars"... he even might be discussing more directly about the core of western and eastern wisdom
he saved my life by making me split from that guild
and just being myself :)

@gurugeorge well his text: Ancient Philosophy, Mystery and Magic is of some importance and is visible but must of his other books are too far out from what the consent opinions about what presocratics and their relation amongst themselves and their influence with the eastern are...
i talked about him several years back with my thesis assesor (a reknown greek investigator) and he ended up embarrassing me cause, yes, his theories are too far off and he has "other ithineraries" in mind...

@watashiwanachodes Scholars become afraid when a student is also a practitioner with personal experience of what they have learned (and not just "studied"). It's that modern brainwashed mindset, I believe.

Well "rejected" is possibly too strong. After all, he has been published by one of the great scholarly publishing houses of the UK. Also, I have seen him quoted in other scholarly works. I'd agree scholars won't follow his cult, but that's only to be expected. I think he's great though, a great mystic (but also a respectable scholar).
