How to print on cotton or silk using an inkjet printer. The printed fabric is perfect for dolls house and miniature projects or other craft projects. Don't get water onto the printed fabric, the ink will bleed.

  • Thanks for the tip! I have never tried a prit stick. Is it easy to remove the paper from the fabric after printing?

  • I want to see some actual results on t-shirt or something. So disappointing

  • @mychannelvic Of course you can't run a T-shirt through a printer. You can cut the print out and sew it onto a T-shirt. Be advised that you cannot wash these prints unless you have pre-treated the fabric. If you want an easy way to have prints on T-shirts I suggest printing on iron-on fabric. There are also cool video's on YouTube about (screen)printing on T-shirts.

  • This is wonderful! I really wanted to use printed fabric on a quilt I'm making in art class and being an Art Major I'm constantly broke and definitely don't have the money for pre-treated fabric sheets. Thanks so much for posting this video I'm really excited to try it!!

  • @angel12408 Hi Liz, it is a great and cheap way for experimenting with prints on fabric. Of course there are drawbacks to this method, but also great possibilities. As an art student I am sure you can experiment in getting it waterproof. Glue, sealant, heat? Have fun!

  • thank you so much it worked but i got it dirty but i dont wont to wash it im afraid it well wash out

  • @harpandlyre12 Yes, if you wash it it will come out I'm afraid. You can use a product called Bubble Jet Set 2000 which prepares the fabric and then you will be able to wash it. Also some people have mentioned ironing the fabric really hot and then spraying it with glue or a sealant, apparently that helps it to make it waterproof. I haven't tried this yet though!! You'll have to experiment.

  • you dont need any spray glue just use a prit stick works well

  • @pegschr Sorry I am so late with my response to you. And I am sorry, but I am not a quilter so I can't really give you any tips on that. Have you tried contacting a quilting store? They might be able to help you out. Good luck with your quilt!

  • @Karmifive Thank you Karmfive, you're very kind!

  • @thisuseridistaken You're welcome!

  • @cleverblonde4406 You're welcome!

  • @Sol57 Yes, same here. I did bring some freezer paper back from the US, but spray glue (or even a glue stick) will work just as well. Glad you found it helpful!
