Ragdoll's are very similar to Maine Coon's...Loving and sweet...and fluffy...the only real difference is their coloring...Ragdolls are usually pretty close in color ...Maine Coons come in many colors!!

@MrsAShoe well there are also some morphologycal differences but maybe not easy to see if not used to see them in shows or wherever. Also i will say that ragdoll is a bit more calm than a Maine Coon, needs less plays. But you are a bit wrong about colours as there also ragdolls in "most maine coon colours" but not "pointed" maine coons (i think) . Anyways both breeds are very nice and sweet.

This is ture, to a point. A ragdolls stress level is the result in wether or not your ragdoll sdeds more/less. If you cat is not stressed, you could pet Her/Him and come up with little to no hair.

If you have a female cat who is pregnant, in the later stages of her pregnancy she will start to shed more, it also comes when he is delivering the kittens.

i heard ragdoll cats shed less than other cats. how much do they really shed? like when they rub against your leg is there a layer of hair stuck to your pants like a tabby cat? cause i really want a cat but we used to have a tabby cat and my dad went crazy with the hair.

I love ragdolls!!!!!!!! I own one named puma and she is just adorable!! She also is breeding kits so yay!!!! also , extremely cuteness!!
