A Gap Kids television spot from several years back. Features a full-orchestra version of the holiday classic "Sleigh Ride" and a sample of the 1980s New Edition song "Cool It Now".

@gays2smile The 90's were a great time for people who were in the workforce at that time, because the economy was so good. I was in middle school so I remember being afraid of school shootings (remember columbine?), gang violence, the Y2K bug, etc. You have to take the good with the bad...The 90's was very prosperous and people had a lot of money, but it was also a scary time in a lot of ways. And I think that today, we're paying the price for the grossly excessive lifestyle we lived back then.

I remember this ad when I was young. Great ad.

It might sound hella cheesy, but back then in the 90s I wanted to be a GAP KID so bad, that I even practiced the choreography of this commercial every single time it came on.

Gap ran an amazing Christmas commercial campaign in 1998. I was 27 and had my first real job and everything, in retrospect, was A LOT of fun. The late 90s were one of the most carefree times of plenty that we are unlikely to ever see again. The Dow Jones Industrial Average crossed the 10,000 mark 10 years ago. And here we are again, at 10,000, but no longer living the Age of Abundance. Too good to be true, it turns out. But it warms my heart seeing these signs of the times.

I remember this when I was younger. I'm 25 now but I remember the days like tomorrow was going to be a great day.
I guess now as I get older and move forward the more I look back.
