This is a typical threshing machine.
It may look primitive, but modern combines still use the same operating principles, just hidden inside.
Properly adjusted, an old threshing machine like this can achieve near 100% separation, no chaff in the grain, and virtually no grain in the chaff. This one includes an automatic weigh hopper with counter display, so the contract operator can bill the farmer for actual weight of grain threshed.
The only real difference is the cutter head on a combine, which is a separate operation with a thresher..

@landlightning My recollection is that it's a Case, but may be wrong.
I have since posted 2 lengthy videos of the full threshing operation at 2 different shows.
