cung le is let down by his punching power.. he has amazing power and combos, but he doesnt throw a one punch knockout punch.. he needs that in his arsenal. because with all his fights in MMA, he completely destroy his oponenets but can never seem to finished them with the knockout punch.. like anderson silva for example, totally out classed by cung, but he had the knockout power to finish the fight in seconds..

cung le did beat the hell out of him anyway, he beats the hell out of everyone, he is getting a bit old, but the main factor was wanderlei had nothing to lose, that was going to be his last fight if he lost, cung le had been out for over 1 and half years making movies, also first ever UFC fight.. alot of pressure on him.. cung in my opinion other than being gassed. was too cocky and thats why he lost... if cung le had 1 punch knock out power in his fist. he would be unbeatable.

You can clearly see that the legs on the Chinese fighter were gone by the second round, he was pretty much looking for a one punch knockout. The referee sees that the Chinese fighter had no answers for the takedowns, therefore, during the clinch, he broke the fighters before Cung Le had a chance to setup the throws. Even though the referee favored the Chinese fighter, he was clearly overmatched in this fight.

Its so good to watch Cung Le in his prime. He could of beat the hell out of Wandelei if they meet at this time.
