A spark of hope has ignited the passion of bands and musicians throughout the Rio Grande Valley. In a show of support for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama during his debate with Hillary Clinton in Austin, Leyenda Production Co. and the Obama for America local campaign office presented "The Dream Unites Us," a free rally and concert featuring more than a dozen area acts on a single stage on Feb. 21, 2008, at the McAllen Creative Incubator in McAllen, Texas.
The participating artists all share a mutual conviction to do what they can to effect change in the White House during this tumultuous election year. They stand by the ideals Sen. Obama has set forth. They believe he can revive integrity in our government and restore hope in the U.S. public. Through their music, they seek to galvanize audiences into doing their part in paving Sen. Obama's path to the Oval Office.
