  • Earl Hooker=Genius

  • that tone man

  • Ronnie Earl covered this song nicely on his CD Language of the Soul, and in fact when he changed his stage /artist last name from Horvath to Earl did it in honor of Earl Hooker!

  • Jimmy Page pinched this for a track off the first Led Zeppelin album. In fact he and Jeff Beck got the whole wah-wah slide routine off Earl Hooker.

  • Earl Hooker, one of the most well-regarded blues guitarists of his era.."was involved in over a dozen recording sessions, and his playing was featured on some forty titles and twenty-five singles, a dozen of which were released under his own name..including the 1961 Age single "Blue Guitar," on which Muddy Waters would later overdub a vocal and call it "You Shook Me."-Wikipedia

  • Very electric sounding for the time...I bet listening to this spawned a lot of guitar players!

  • Pure emotion...Earl rules!
