@KDowner94 Anyway, another "sally" anecdote - the 3 at Beverley Minster in Yorkshire has a "French Sally" - 3 solid "blocks" of red, white and blue - I think it aids learners, showing them where they should be catching the sally - the red bit if they're short, the white bit if they're average, and the blue bit if they're lanky!! :)

@KDowner94 Yes, I remember them being slightly manky!! Stratton St Margaret got new ones (gold with black striped sallies before you ask!!) and within a WEEK of them going on, a squirrel managed to get into the tower and eat through the two tenor ropes, meaning they needed splicing!!
Although, with Stratton's tenors, I couldnt blame that smart squirrel for wanting to shut them up, awful bells!! 7=Edwards Neale (crap founder) and tenor is C&G Mears (who cast some monstrosities in their time!!)

@simonbellringer yeah, godshill got new ones now, as the old were extrtemley manky and worn out

@KDowner94 When I went, I swear they were red white and blue!! Or was that the lighting? East Knoyle have green yellow and maroon!!
I do like a ring with different coloured sallies!! Fulham have about 3 different types of sally; the 8 has an East Knoyle sally, the 3 and 9 have maroon and gold, and the others have navy blue!!

@simonbellringer godshill and brighstone have gree, yellow and brown striped! Thankfully (at the moment) we havent too many boring red white and blues!!!!!!!
-
@1BODGER95 St Mark Swindon, St Mark Bristol and Gloucester Cathedral all have red sallies too!!!
An oddity; Norton and Eckington, Worcs, and Faringdon, Oxon, have claret and black sallies!!

I was up the ladder to the bells, so was pretty much next to the ceiling when filming it.
