In the run-up to the 2010 general election, Conservative Party leader David Cameron's campaign posters promised "I'll cut the deficit, not the NHS".

If anyone thinks the issues of NHS cuts etc are straightforward black-and-white left-wing versus right-wing issues, the plan to impose £20 billion in NHS cuts was created before the Coalition came to power, by Labour Party appointed NHS chief executive David Nicholson, who's a former member of the Communist Party of Great Britain, and even right-wing Tory hard-liner Sir Norman Tebbit opposed David Cameron's plans for NHS reforms!

Before the last general election, The Daily Telegraph reported that "the Conservatives and health campaigners said the public deserved to know the true extent of cuts at their local surgeries and hospitals BEFORE VOTING", and David Cameron fought the election with a campaign that promised he wouldn't cut the NHS.

British people are entitled to receive all the health services our taxes pay for, so, having used his promise to secure the support of British voters, will David Cameron stay true to spirit of his promise, by pro-actively stopping the NHS cuts, or will Cameron only stick to the letter of his promise, by using the fact that these cuts weren't planned by him personally as an excuse to continue implementing Labour's cuts? Was David Cameron's promise about not cutting the NHS genuine, or was it just a carefully worded PR trick?
