Mark Allen out of the World Snooker Championships amid controversy

The World Number 11 admitted that Cao Yupeng outplayed him for much of the match, but Allen accused the youngster of not admitting a foul at one stage of the match - this is something which Yupeng denies - his response is at the end of the video.

Away from the controversy, it's a massive Crucible debut for Yupeng who faces either Ding Junhui or Ryan Day in the next round.

firstly its foul and a fowl which is a bird and yes the ref should call it but snooker along with other sports such as cricket and golf the players pride themsleves on their honesty and integrity and believe in the spirit of the game. whilst the majority of players do it when the odd one doesnt it is wrong in the case of Cao. i agree with you on Mark Allen he is young and honest and answered those questions put to him truthfully and he is entitled to his opinion. he did play shit though lol

Seen the video of the shot cao took and it is a push ball so allen is right but he's talking in theoreticals here. Probability says he was playing bad snooker on the day so the outcome wouldn't change. If a player knows he committed a foul in tournament play then he should call it himself he is right on that part but to go as far as using racial slurs is a little too much. This is just a case of a lad being too hot-headed and letting his mouth runaway with it!

As far as im concerned the referee has to call the fowl it should not be down to being a gentleman or honesty though that is comendable but im not going to berate mark allen, i think he is a pretty honest proffessional he is young so the remark about chinese players i would put down to age and inexperience, but he is praising cao in most of the interview.
