He made that symbol (what is supposed to be a triangle) because he promised he would to his girlfriend if he scored. I know this because she used to babysit me and when we were watching the match she kept telling us to look out for it. She was delighted when he did it.

LOL ya back then they probably couldn't afford new jerseys so it was probably a "hand me down" situation. Like when your mother used to say don't worry you'll grow into it. haha

Yeah, because loads of the forwards used to be pudgy bastards and loads of the backs used to be weeds, so they wouldn't be giving em tight ones!
