"So basically you're saying that every culture should just stay where they were born"
No, you are basically twisting my words to fit your preconceptions.
I am certainly saying that intentionally exporting our religion and culture and cash economy and philospophy is an evil thing.

So basically you're saying that every culture should just stay where they were born. If you're french, you only talk to other french people so as to not impose your culture on anyone right? and water wells save lives. thousands of people die everyday in places like africa because of unclean drinking water. they drink out of the water that everyone bathes in, that animals pee in. you're right, it would be so much better just to let them die though right? rather than imopse "our culture" on them.

"missions work of decades ago."
Sorry, but no.
As I said earlier,
I have personally (as a pastor and as a counsellor)
dealt with many people who have been directly harmed
by the work of missions.
People who are alive and suffering tonight.
There are many types of "force."
Social pressure, with holding assistance to resistant natives,
providing education only for the children of converts, etc.

The other thing that needs to be understood is that there should be freedom of religion. Nobody is being forced to convert to Christianity. India is already the most diverse religious nation in the world. Isn't it right to give freedom of religion? Who are you to deny them the right to change and say they should remain the religion they have always been? Who am I to deny them that right? But again, thanks for your comment and I do understand your concern.

It seems like again you are reverting to what you understand to be missions work of decades ago. I admit mistakes were made culturally in the past and some problems linger today, but it's almost disappeared. It is especially not a problem with native missionaries. I encourage you to watch my other videos and see if it looks like culture is being destroyed. No culture has been imported. Christianity has existed longer in Asia than North America anyways. It's simply spreading.

"every tribe ...destroyed, that's a statement that has little fact to back it up." Really? Look at Polynesia. Look at North American Natives (that's me). Look around the world and you see it on every hand. Missionaries nearly always import their culture, confusing that with their religion. Capitalism, democracy, monogamy, Western clothing, Western hymns in English (or Spanish or French or Dutch..), Mission work is primarily the rape of culture. Penicillin and water wells notwithstanding.

every tribe that has been "assaulted"by christianity has not been destroyed, that's a statement that has little fact to back it up. Because of many generous christians, who love God, and want to help people, many of those tribes over there have been given cows, goats, chickens etc, to both provide food for their families and a source of income. They've been given wells for clean drinking water. 25,000 people die every day from hunger, do you care enough to actually help? A lot of christians do..

"All these missionaries are native missionaries" Right. They have already been stripped of their culture and now they are doing the same to their own people. Yippee. "Any missionary that would do those things or impose those laws is either not really Christian" I am not interested in running around assessing the christianity of others. I merely speak the truth, what I have seen and observed and experienced. As a counsellor I have dealt with many who have been wounded by xian missionaries.
Every tribe that has been assaulted with Christianity has been destroyed.
Their families broken, their language outlawed, American dress codes imposed,
guilt and shame imposed, their children sexually abused,
their men stripped of dignity and authority, their cultural heirlooms stolen or destroyed as "idols",
their health destroyed by sugar and alcohol and western diet...
For the sake of humanity, leave them alone!

All these missionaries are native missionaries, so no culture is being erased and none of these things you said are true. I believe that's the case even of American missionaries. Any missionary that would do those things or impose those laws is either not really Christian or simply ignorant. You're thinking about missions from hundreds of years ago. It is easy to have an anti-imperialistic attitude in today's world and make claims like this, but you're wrong. PS I unspammed your comments 4u
