One note of correction. Not everyone who is against AA or even participates in websites like Stinkin' Thinkin" sees it as an organized "community" like in an AA model. In fact many of us just simply don't agree with AA and use these forums to point out what we believe are shortcomings and problems with that particular model. Sure, some of us get to know each other and there may be some "community" in that respect but it's not simply a transposed anti-AA version of AA.

You should also check out the Orange Papers as well.

DUDE! Damn good video. My SOB is July 16, 1995. My sponsor told me to always stay green so i can grow, never get ripe or i will fall off. Thats the same message your saying! I too got "stagnant" in AA, and I knew there was so much more i needed to know. I had to step outside AA and shoot off on a new and broader path. I an so happy to see the massive amounts of links and alternatives to 12 step programs by people who were formerly in 12 step programs. Thanks for your video! Rick Mosling.

While AA members are busy "working the steps" to supposedly fix their wrongdoings, ppl outside of AA are doing that on a minute to minute basis. Working the steps can sometimes take the aa member years and even then their so called amends are often never made under the loopholes provided (when it harms self or others). But I guess that is the way it goes in a masonic created cult. Fake it until you make it.

Thanks for posting this. Unlike many in the AA program you have actually read and understand the AA big book.
I have one question though. You made a reference to a treatment center promoting a statstic of less than 1% of people recover from crack cocaine addiction. I do not know what the real number is, and perhaps that is accurate.
However, I do know that treatment centers make up a lot of things and promote them as medical fact. Do you think it is ethical that they be deceptive?

If only AA as an organization had the same progressive attitude that you have. We'd all have to find something else to do.
Right on Rick!! Congrats on your success and thanks for the kind words of encouragement!
