Here is the inside of a working harddrive. Do not try this with a hard drive you want to keep working.

  • That's why I used a hard drive that was getting read-errors, and is so old as to be useless.

  • Not even close lol... When Quantum first introduced the Bigfoot drive series the spindle speed was around 3,600 r.p.m ... And even the later models spun at 5,400 r.p.m...

  • That drive manufactured by Quantum ?? ...kinda looks like it

  • Is this a 15000 rpm hard disk?

  • that an old school drive haaa

  • That's definitely an old Quantum Bigfoot.

  • Thanks for the info!

I wonder how long it lasted (opened)?

    :0)

  • that drive is no good anymore unless you cover it b/c if one piece of dust gets on the read/write heads it will crash it

  • wow! what a quality of video..

by the way,it was good :)

  • That's pretty sweet, I always thought the insides worked a little different than that, but pretty sweet.
