Last weekend I went to catch up with some friends in Hong Kong and watch the first ever Bledisloe Cup rubgy match between NZ and Australia to be played in Asia. I crammed as much as I could into the day and had a great time. Hope you enjoy the vid!

Thanks Catherine! Haha, it takes a LOT of editing to make my life look that interesting, but fortunately the vids are only 5 minutes long! But I am lucky to be in a part of the world that is interesting all on its own. I just point the camera. Hope you are well, and take care there in Quebec!

So it looks like Aussie vs Kiwi for rugby is like as the same valuable as Brazil vs Argentina for soccer. When we have soccer game Japan vs Korea, we get excited more than usual.

HAKA is amazing! That's めっちゃかっちょえ～！ Aussi national team have to see that and just waiting like that? Something like showing respect? I like these kind of respect. 男 vs 男 って感じだね。

Haha, I think that is a good analogy! For Kiwis, beating Australia at rugby is a big part of our identity. It is like we need to show we are equal to them, and not just another state of theirs. So we fight harder than usual when we play them! Fortunately, the rivalry is a friendly one that we both enjoy. I wish I could get the whole Haka but someone stood up in front - but it is MAGIC. It summarizes for me everything about rugby, and about being a Kiwi. A get 鳥肌 every time I see it.

Haha, well, I do work very hard when I'm not editing videos! I only usually get out of Japan once a year, but my friend in HK had a spare ticket, and as a New Zealander, I had to go over and support my team - along with 40,000 other Kiwis and Aussies, most of whom flew from all over the world to support their team. Rugby is serious stuff for us, and it was a ridiculous price, but worth it.

What a good time! I had that idea once. After the Tsunami in Thailand (I was sent there to work) I asked for afew hours layover in Japan so that I might do what you did in HK... Well it turned out to be just one hour so allI got to do was go through customs and get on my next flight... Oh well.... LOL!!!
