  • Listen carefully, cagedtigersteve: We'll say it one more time, so pay attention. THOSE JOBS ARE NOT LOST! Walmart still intends to build in OC . In fact, those jobs might have been available now if everyone (OC BOS) had followed the law in the first place. Walmart is doing the right thing. The plaintiffs did the right thing. The OC BOS did not do the right thing.

  • I'm sure Walmart will have no trouble opening its store somewhere else in that area. Besides, I'd rather have a preserved battlefield--and a historic site so representative of this country's heritage--than a Walmart. I truly believe that these historical landmarks are far more important, and I hope other corporations follow Walmart's example to maintain these sites and their historical integrity.

  • We really could of used those jobs. But I guess I'm wrong and unemployment isn't in the double digits.
