  • Wow, i learned a lot, then i forget how to say things or what they mean because i have bad memory. And i dont have time to learn everyday because i am so busy helping my grandma, and she the reason why i want to learn chinese because she doesnt speak much english. Dangit.

    How can i say lay down, sit down, where do you want to go, where are you going, and other stuff that i would need to know when im helping my grandma...

  • @nknibbe Yes, bu changes tones when a fourth tone follows it, but only when you use bu as "not/no"

  • Hey in the sentence about the bar it seems like the "bu" becomes second tone when proceeded by the fourth tone "qu." Am I right?

    example:

    Bob de shou3 hen3 da4

    Bob's hand is very big

    Bob de: bob's
