Molly is now in Dolfinarium Harderwijk if I'm correct. And we have no idea what goes on behind those walls of Captivity. We do know that these dolphins have herpes and Dolfinarium makes money from it to allow children to swim with these dolphins. It sucks
I like Ric O'Barry. Molly was stolen from the wild as many dolphins are.

I know Molly!!! <3

He was only trying to do what he thought was best for the dolphins. I still don't think they should be freed, but Ric O'Barry went about it the wrong way.
-
Ric released them too soon, that's for sure.
Has anyone actually asked him for his side of the story? How he felt when he found out what condition the dolphins were in?

@flargmuffin92 In The Cove, they definitely claim false information on captivity, especially about Sea world too. Not blatantly, but it is underlying in the words they use. However I still recommend watching it because there is a lot of info that doesn't relate to captivity as well. It's still an important film.

damn tree huggers!!! as much as I believe most animals should be free, some cannot care for themselves when released after relying on humans for so long. would you turn a pet dog or cat loose?? THIS is why they are pushing this HR669 BS.

@marinebeauties12 Considering the dolphins legally belonged to the Navy in the first place, I don't see his logic.
Ric hasn't handled dolphins outside of a release situation in a long, long time. He's so out of touch with the times it's not even funny.

sometimes the people get too extreme even in the case of animal wellness not thinking in the consecuences, like liberating a bunch of experimental animals that can cause a mayor disease in the wild ones. Thanks for this video, is an example of why we should not confuse fairy tales with real animal activism.

Oh, thank you. It's refreshing to see this after all the ill-informed, fanatically anti-captivity videos put up on YouTube. Ric O'Barry is possibly one of the last people on Earth who should have any cetacean's life in his hands. At best, he's deluded and nuts. At worst, he wants them all to swim free or die trying, and doesn't really seem to care which.

Crazy story, i cant believe how dumb Ric O Barry is. He frees dolphins that werent even trained to readapt to the wild. What a f@#&ing dumb Assh@$%!!! Can you imagine this guy freeing Lolita next!?
I like the points you are trying to make, and I applaud your enthusiasm and bravery for standing up for what you believe in. A lot of people who are not anti-captivity (whether they are truly pro-captivity or somewhere in the middle) are not nearly as brave and have a hard time making themselves heard.
However, I must add this constructive crit. and say that in the last 20 seconds of the video, the song skips repeatedly. I'm not sure if the file is corrupt, but you may want to check it.

Thanks or comment. I made this video just shortly before my computer broke down. It took a while for us to have it fixed. Now my computer is working better.

Ric O Barry should have been let loose into the wild, I'm thinking in the Amazon Basin somewhere until he lost a third of his body weight.

Did you know that during his live chart web fee, he claimed that the US Government kidnapped the dolphins from his "sanctuary". You would think that being a dolphin handler, he would know the risks of releasing a marine mammal back into the wild has on the animal itself.
