@Dogfrost9 I had an 87 2 door cutlass like yours with a 69 olds 455 in it & I had the same problem when the quadrajet carb was on the car. I upgraded to a Holley 770 cfm street avenger carb & had no more problems. That Holley carb gave it more power & even made the exhaust sound a little deeper (Mine had headers with true 3" duals & flowmasters). Your Cutlass is very clean & I'm sure that you could throw some cheap 22's or 24's on there (since it's lifted) & get about $7000 for it on Craigslist✌

damn nice engine
very nice engine, bet she drives sweet
Sweet. If it were mine I'd invest in the suspension and make it handle/brake like a Vette.Low to the ground,19's/20's,quick ratio steering box and everything else..Allot of power with a BB.What year is the BB?How much HP/Torque?Very nice.Good luck with it,be safe.

@Dogfrost9 Your 455 is idled too a little high buddy, trust me. I bet it takes off without you gassing on it when you take your foot off the brake huh?

@eMoneyProductionCo The idle is rather finicky. When its really cold out, it idles high for a while until it warms up. I could adjust it but then would just have to set it back for summer again. Also like most old cars, will start idling a lot slower one you actually put it in gear. But you are right, its idling high and will start to go a bit without gas.
