This tutorial explains how to use the new forging technique called "counter-merging." The original glitch was discovered by Death YoYo, but this technique was created by Gunnergrunt.

As others have said when I get under the geometry I get killed by the guardians. Is there any way to avoid this?

Whenever I jump and go to monitor mode, I get killed by the guardians.

Its called Ghost Merging not Counter Merging.

This is very useful and helpful. The only thing I have a concern about is if the item will turn invisible like other objects do if you put them half way in the ground. If it doesn't then this is very useful, thanks Gunnergrunt.
