  • @RogCBrand That's true, but it's generally the lower-level employees that take the brunt of the mistreatment. There are millions who could replace them at any moment.

Do you have any other videos from the 80's and early 90's? I loved watching your McDonald's videos. I love the hair and clothes.

  • @eyeswideopen82 Yeah, that's definitely true, though even back then, I realized ours was a special place and probably most other McDonalds didn't have so many great people at once- it wasn't quite as good when I started and then I ended up leaving because some of the best people were leaving or being pushed out.

I've found that most any job anywhere tends to treat its employees like dirt and it's hard to find coworkers that you truly enjoy being with!

  • @RogCBrand With current inflation-rates and the cost of living, it's no wonder people didn't enjoy their job at McDonalds in 2008.

  • I do have some tapes that have stuff like Monte and Debbie's wedding- they both worked there & many of those at the wedding were from the store. Plus there was a store meeting with everyone at Christmas time- the vid is very long and not a lot going on but it's neat to have everyone in it!

  • HAHA, interesting! It almost sounded like Kraftwerk or something.

Good Stuff, do you have any more videos of your time there?

  • It was Richard "McBatman"s music and I know he played a lot of Erasure, which I think it is. It's funny because the music that he often played at that time is now such a big part of remembering those times.

  • That music was awesome! Do you remember what group it was? I don't think I ever heard any of those songs before.

  • Yeah! I'm thinking in another 20 years or so, this will be like looking back at the old fashioned soda fountains of the 50's!

    :P

  • My how things have changed

  • :P Thanks Dion!
