Speeder Chase Part Two!

Watch as we speed back to Jefferson, Ohio ahead of the passenger train. The railroad ran speeders ahead of the train as well as behind the train for safety inspections. Filmed by blizzard4800 on July 11th, 2009.

The line is in service. Freight service is operated Monday through Friday every week and passenger service on select weekends.

A rail speeder car. They were once used for track maintenance.

That speeder sure was crusin, how fast can they go? Some one told me top speed is close to 100 mies per hour.

If the track is good! Just kidding! 25 to 35 mph is average, I have heard of some topping 40mph.

How much distance does it take to stop going that fast? Wouldnt it just skid on the rails for a little bit?

@blizzard4800 A cars, can do higher speeds as well. A6's can do about 60MPH on good track.
