Many people know how to read a balance sheet, ...and the USA Gov balance sheet stinks, Tax Revenue $2T, Annual Spending $3.5T, Debt Principal $121T, Insurance on currency Derivatives $630T. If interest goes up just to 4%-5%, ...and just 1% of the currency derivative insurances gets called, that's $6T in payment exposed to the tax payers or 300% of current annual tax reciepts or 10% of entire net worth of the country. Dear Gov. Min. wage workers should not buy Rolls Royce's insured at 5x value!

Is anything I said untrue? It's the history of your party, why try and hide it? Embrace your past, don't try and shift the focus away. Your slave holding past still shows through by your parties actions. You, as a democrat, believe a parental figure (the government) needs to supervise and control almost every facet of the peoples lives and should reap the fruits of our labor by taxation (like the democrat slaveholders on the plantations took the profit from slave labor) nothing has changed

Ummm the names and ideologies of the parties have changed radically since that era. The republicans and dems of yesteryear are nothing like they are today. Read a fucking history book. Lincoln era Republican party is virtually the antithesis to its modern iteration. Conservatives have been asshats since the dawn of time and continue to be now in the republican party of today just like they were in perhaps the democratic party 150 years ago. Why do I even need to explain this?
