If we saw and approached earth changes and future environmental catastrophes as we do with the urgency of a war we'd be mobilizing a new army, a new air force a redefining what it means to be a warrior and a global citizen.
an eco -- force to be implemented with the utmost speed and vision is needed. We have to take a serious look at the possibility that it just maybe to late, but if we strive to put this best foot forward we may be more prepared to help save life, and to provide a more humane world for all.
Scott Pittman is a renowned permaculturist who does not shy away from addressing the issues facing humanity, the urgency it calls for and an introduction to permaculture, what it is and what it isn't. Permaculture may hold the key to our future.

Don't get bogged down in yer swales sure. Permaculture vs Capitalism is common sense against the complete opposite.
It's like some kind of illumination and like a you need to first to forget(nearly) everything you learned at school and get into natures patterns. I agree with the don't worry be happy dude, but like the man says we need to work harder.

that is just defeatest talk, and against the spirit of permaculture, which in many cases restores land that was written off as a hopeless case.
how the hell can you 'dont worry by happy' if you believe we're 'toast'?

it's not that people don't sense the urgency. there is a deeper truth. even if we accepted that all the doom and gloom is true, it wouldn't make a wit of difference. the damage is to extensive. we're toast, most of us just don't realize it yet. do my advice, don't worry, be happy.

i feel the hopelessness that mr. pittman speaks of, this saddens my heart. the current world order controlled by the corporate capitalitst and military industrial complex are deeply seated in their philosophy of raping our world of all its' resources for the sake of material gain. such shortsightedness. 'if it's going to be, it's up to me. one person at a time. '
