In this vain The Express consistently prints conspiracy theories based on the death of Princess Diana.

However, The Express's obsession with the asylum issue has led a member of the British National Party to credit the paper with boosting the BNP's electoral fortunes.

Of all the UK national daily newspapers, I think the Express is easily the worst. It is complete and utter shite. I know many people by first name terms that regularly buy these papers, and they are not people whom you would regard as being easily swayed.

Back when that was the structure of the press, essentially the image of the world was the other way around, the capitalist class was depicted as being "lazy scroungers and parasites, who did no work" and the working class were lionised as being the truly productive members of society, because they created ALL wealth. It's interesting to see how these conceptions have been reversed as the capitalist class took control of the press with capital concentration and advertising reliance.
