Just got back from there today. I've went before 4 years ago and I thought it wad amazing. I still do but it has gone downhil. The mucked up with the reservations and got to stay in royal club 4 2 days and it's no different

(cont from below) If you have actually been to this resort, I doubt you would pronounce a Mayan word as "X" caret. The "X" is pronounced "ISH".
Nice review and good videos. Sorry to say this quality has diminished due to obvious financial cutbacks. After seeing some of the staff for many years, each time, none of them existed anymore. That tells a story. Very sad. Fabulous resort, very poor quality of service and hospitality. Even the two maids that used to visit a room have become one.

I have been to this resort eight times over the last 14 years.
The last time = winter 2010-11 we foubnd this resort to be on huge labour cutbacks. The usual bartenders and staff were not there and bartenders that were obviously new were present and make lower quality drinks. Some we had to dump they were so bad!
Usually this place is so excellent...thus the number of times we have been. The main buffet food was so poorly presented and boring we almost went humgry the last few days. (above)
